Co-ordinated Support Plans

Children and young people who have complex needs which are likely to endure and which require significant input from a body other than the Education Authority should receive a Co-ordinated Support Plan (CSP) to ensure their needs are met.

The Additional Support Needs Tribunals for Scotland hears references from parents and young people on specific matters relating to a child’s co-ordinated support plan. The Tribunals can deal with disputes about the issue or contents of CSPs and in certain circumstances, can deal with the refusal of a placing request.

The Tribunal can consider the following issues
• Assessment
• The Need for a Co-ordinated Support Plan
• The Contents of the Co-ordinated Support Plan
• Review of the Co-ordinated Support Plan

Full details of these issues can be found in Link opens in new windowA User’s Guide to the Additional Support Needs Tribunals for Scotland.
