Transitions
The Tribunal can hear references relating to transitions in circumstances where the Education Authority has failed to meet its duties regarding post school transitions which include:
- Providing appropriate agencies with information concerning the child's additional support needs and school leaving date;
- Considering what provision the Authority, in the exercise of any of it's functions other than those relating to education is likely to make for the child on ceasing school eduction;
- Taking account of information provided by the child and the child's parent;
- Failing to contact appropriate agencies for information regarding the additional support needs of children and young people in their intended destination.
