About the organisation

The 2004 Act requires Scottish Ministers to provide the President and the Tribunals with such property, staff and services as they consider necessary. Consequently, a tribunal administration has been established in Glasgow to support the President, conveners and members in their work.

The tribunal administration comprises of five staff. It is headed by the Secretary who has overall management responsibility for the efficient discharge of the statutory duties of the Tribunals. The Secretary is Lesley Maguire.

The tribunal administration is organised into two teams:

Team: HEARINGS TEAM ADMINISTRATION

Function: Responsible for all matters relating to references to the Tribunals and hearings. The leader of this team is also the Secretary of the Tribunal. The hearings team will have three case officers. Responsible for resources, training and information and publications requests. Also the administration and management of the tribunal website.

The tribunal administration cannot deal with enquiries concerning the appointments or the rules of procedure; these should be directed to the Scottish Government.
