Co-ordinated Support Plans

Children and young people who have complex needs which are likely to endure and which require significant input from a body other than the Education Authority should receive a co-ordinated support plan (CSP) to ensure their needs are met.

The ASNTS hears references from parents and young people on specific matters relating to a child or young person’s CSP.  The Tribunal can deal with disputes about the issue or contents of CSPs.

The Tribunal can consider the following issues

  • Assessment

  • The need for a CSP

  • The contents of the CSP

  • Providing the support indicated in the CSP in full

  • Review of the CSP

  • Transitions
